Automation drives continues development of operational excellence for Elisa
Last week, Elisa announced its results for its operations and presented a record-breaking quarter again. Elisa’s revenue grew by 3%, its EBITDA 4% and EPS 6%. Over the past years, the company has grown steadily, achieving the best annual results ever in 2017. By building on three pillars – build value on data, accelerate digital service business, and improve performance by engaging people in building excellence – Elisa has achieved a strong and leading market position.
Elisa Automate continues to be a significant driver for digital transformation
In the beginning of 2018, Elisa Automate began offering Elisa SON, which was already running in Elisa’s own networks. Only a few weeks later, it was announced that the most innovative Romanian operator RCS & RDS adopted Elisa SON. Following the success in early 2018, Elisa emphasizes Elisa Automate’s international digital service business.
At Elisa Automate, mobile network automation has been developed, tested and commercially deployed in Elisa’s own mobile networks in Finland. In the half-yearly financial report, Elisa SON is pointed out as an important innovation and driver of operational excellence. Elisa SON realises OPEX and CAPEX savings by performing +4 million network checks and +4000 changes in Elisa’s networks every day. Elisa Automate continues to be a significant driver for digital transformation – transforming network optimisation and automating business processes.
Due to the success of Elisa, Elisa Automate implemented and is now running automation at other international operators. Moving forward, Elisa Automate will continue to improve quality and deliver operational excellence to international operators by developing and running the automation in Elisa’s own networks in Finland and Estonia.
